Nichole has recently joined the Queensland Country Tourism team, taking on the role of Industry Engagement Manager.
With over 25 years of experience in the travel and tourism sector, Nichole has enjoyed a diverse and successful career. Her professional journey has seen her contribute across a variety of areas, including retail travel, wholesale distribution, inbound, destination management, airlines, hotels and event coordination.
Nichole has held leadership positions as the Australian and New Zealand Manager for two prominent Asian Destination Management Companies. Her extensive background also includes significant involvement in major global events, having experience with two Olympic Games and worked on the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Driven by a passion for stakeholder engagement, building connections, supporting tourism recovery, expanding international markets, and championing First Nations Tourism. She brings valuable skills in on-the-road sales, stakeholder engagement, product training, and trade events.
Throughout her career, Nichole has hosted supplier and media familiarisation trips and led trade missions, further strengthening relationships within the industry.
Nichole is looking forward to collaborating with tourism partners throughout the region, aiming to foster strong relationships and drive increased visitation, contributing to continued growth.
Outside of her professional life, Nichole enjoys spending time with her endurance horse.
