Queensland Country Tourism (QCT) is a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) and Destination Management Organisation (DMO). Operating out of a centrally located office in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, QCT is one of 13 RTO's in Queensland. These RTO's are largely private sector, membership-based bodies that play a role in marketing and developing destinations, and coordinating the efforts of industry, local government and the community to grow tourism.
QCT’s geographical footprint encompasses the regions of: Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley, Southern Downs and Granite Belt, South Burnett, Goondiwindi, Somerset, Western Downs and Central Highlands.
QCT delivers a consolidated brand and marketing strategy for tourism in the Queensland Country region by bringing together a critical mass of local businesses and stakeholders.
Through excellence in destination marketing activity and innovation, QCT creates demand for visitation by connecting people culturally and emotionally to our region, fosters economic and social benefits, services and opportunities for its members, our local community, and regional partners to enhance delivery of compelling, sustainable, and on-brand visitor experiences.
QCT is focused on promoting the whole of Queensland Country (QC), including our sub-regions and key destination experiences. Our aim is to build awareness and preference for the destination in order to grow our visitor numbers overall and increase overnight visitor expenditure.
QCT represents a membership base of more than 700 tourism businesses made up of accommodation houses, attractions, tour operators, restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues, transport providers, and professional support services.
