Felicite Cootes

Marketing Manager

Felicite Cootes is an experienced marketing and communications professional with over 20 years of expertise across the tourism and entertainment industries. With a passion for storytelling, she specialises in crafting compelling content and integrated marketing campaigns spanning print, digital, film, and television. Her extensive public relations experience has secured media coverage across a range of leading platforms, including RACQ (Road Ahead, EDM, and digital), Caravanning Queensland, Drive Queensland, and The Tourism Group, as well as television features on Channel 7’s Weekender and Creek to Coast, and SBS’s Trail Towns.

Felicite began her career in the entertainment sector, working with globally recognised brands such as Walt Disney Entertainment, The Cartoon Network, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySEA, and Westfield. She holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where she graduated with Distinction in 2010. Transitioning into the tourism industry, Felicite quickly developed a deep affinity for destination marketing, leading her to pursue a Master of Creative Industries (Interdisciplinary) at QUT in 2015. Her postgraduate research explored the significance of small country towns in Queensland and provided a strategic framework for local government associations to enhance the promotion and support of regional destinations.

With over a decade of experience in tourism roles within local government, Felicite has developed strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and award-winning industry submissions that have strengthened regional tourism outcomes.

Outside of work, Felicite enjoys creative writing, attending the theatre, and spending time with her family on their cattle property in the Lockyer Valley. She finds inspiration in the vast landscapes, winding creeks, and rugged mountain ranges but believes the most magical view is into her children’s treehouse, where imagination knows no bounds.
